Frequently Asked Questions

Window Tinting:

Q: How long will it take to tint my vehicle?
A: It varies per vehicle depending on size, and how many windows being done. The average tint job takes 1.5 hours. However, the installer may want your vehicle for a few hours to ensure that the film adheres to the glass properly.

Q: How long will it take the film to cure on my windows?
A: We recommend leaving your windows up for 2-3 days. This allows time for the film to bond with the glass. If you dont allow this time, the movement from the glass may cause the film to begin peeling. However, for the film to fully cure, it may take a few weeks. Leave your vehicle in the sun as much as possible to help cure.

Q: How dark can my window tint be?
A: Window tint laws vary from state to state. Floridas legal limit for the front two windows is 28%. We tint as dark as legally allowed. We put 30% on the front, and 15% on the back.
(We will not tint any vehicles illegally due to the legal risk involved.)

Q: What do the different percentage levels of film mean?
A: Film percentages stand for light transmission, or the amount of light that is allowed through the film. The lower the percentage, the darker the film.

Q: How do I clean my windows after being tinted?
A:Use a window cleaner without ammonia and a soft cloth or rubber squeegee. We recommend foam cleaners because they do not streak, and are usually ammonia-free. You can also use a mild soap, and water. Never scrape the film with any type of blade or clean your tinted windows with anything abrasive, as it will scratch the film.

Q: What kind of warranty does your film have?
A: FormulaOne film has a limited lifetime transferable warranty, that is also nationwide. See warranty page for more information.

Q: How long has FormulaOne of Vero Beach been in buisness?
A: We have been proudly serving the Treasure Coast for over 33 years!
